Automotive AllStar Competition

Lee Central High School Senior and Lee County Career and Technology Center Automotive Technology Completer, Christian Rouse, competed in the hands-on portion of competition at Midlands Tech on February 21, 2019.  To qualify for the hands-on competition at Midlands Tech, Christion had to take an online exam provided by the Department of Education and South Carolina Transportation and Education Business Alliance, SCTEBA, in conjunction with Todaysclass. The top twelve in the state were chosen to attend the competition.  The top three were placed but everyone was applauded for their outstanding efforts.  His placement awarded him a 225 piece automotive hand tool set with box and a certificate for his hard work.

  Christian is planning to attend Florence Darlington Technical College and major in Diesel Technology.  Christian is also in the running for the 2019 SC Work-Based Learning Student of the Year Award that will be announced at the 2019 Education and Business Summit, Greenville Convention Center, Greenville SC, on June 24, 2019.
